The <xsl:if> is redundant. If there's no "intro" element, the
xsl:apply-templates will do nothing.

yes
    <xsl:apply-templates select= "intro | steps | points | conclusion"/>

But note if you do this, they will be processed in the order they appear,
whereas your original code did the intro, then the steps, then the points,
then the conclusion, regardless of their original ordering.
