external parameters like DOS Command

Hi.

Question:  Is it possible to use a stylesheet like a DOS command?
Explanation: I use Saxon to transform XML into HTML, but I want to produce 
HTML regarding parameters that I want to send to the stylesheet like a DOS 
command. How to do that ? Because the attributes I use in the stylesheet
may be 
combined, I cannot write a different stylesheet for each combination.
That's why I want to send parameters and use them into the stylesheet with
a <xsl:choose>

Who has a solution ? or an idea?
