AW: generating HTML Anchor link via XSL

you might want to try this:

<xsl:template match="link">
  <A>
    <xsl:attribute name="href">
      <xsl:value-of select="@href"/>
    </xsl:attribute>
    <xsl:value-of select="."/>
  </A>
</xsl:template>
