Setup for server-side translation of XML/XSL to HTML

I am trying to set up a Windows NT workstation to do server side translation
of XML/XSL to HTML, probably using James Clark's servlet.  Does anyone have
any advice as to what system configurations are most stable (i.e. what
server software, what servlet engine, etc.)?  Any advice, personal
experience, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
