Im not sure whether u want the number attribute in ur question element to determine ur numbering.If not,there was a question similar to this which was answered by Ken Holman.Please check the archives.Using the xsl:number to generate ur numbering will be good.But if you need your number attribute to be accessed within the child node,you can use .. or parent:: axis specifier Francis > > I want to get an output of: > > 1.
