> why it's not extracting in the right order? because there is no right order for attributes. Attributes are explictly unordered beasts and parsers can return them in any order. An input of <years title="year" century="20th" month="April" Day="Thursday"/> and an input of <years month="April" century="20th" title="year" Day="Thursday"/> are quite likely to produce the same source tree, on many parsers. If you want to extract the attributes in some order do <xsl:value-of select="year"/> <xsl:value-of select="century"/> ... David XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
