this is the ultimate stupid question, but i have to ask...

Hi,

I know this is probably the most stupid question that's ever been posted to
this forum, but I have no clue how to do this:
I'm using sun's jaxp version 1.0 (but also have tried to see how it would be
done with xalan 1.0.xxx, but am equally baffled)
and have an xml that is coming back to a class (call it Result) from a
Servlet via InputStream.  I've got the Document,
using DocumentBuilder, but I haven't a clue how I can convert the Document
to a simple String class?  how can i do this
with relative ease?

Any responses are truly appreciated!
