RE: SAXON 5.3.1 is available (SAXON interest only)

I've now identified the problem, which occurs when certain node-set
expressions containing variable references are passed as parameters in
xsl:with-param. It will be fixed in the next maintenance release, which I'm
planning to issue as soon as the final SAX2 code is available.

(A note for other readers: the version of SAX2 used in SAXON 5.3.1 appears
to be incompatible with the version of SAX2 used in the current version of
Xerces.)
