Xalan has a command-line option to pass a value for a parameter, and it has
the
underlying API call documented. See the -PARAM option at
http://xml.apache.org/xalan/commandline.html
and see "Setting stylesheet parameters" at
http://xml.apache.org/xalan/usagepatterns.html
for the setStylesheetParam method.
