Yeh but you can then manipulate the document. So first navigate to
"about:blank" and you have an empty doc to work with then
~document.write("<some><xml>") .

AFAIK the document property returns a document object after you have used
navigate() to load some data.
Currently I'll stick to the temp file method but I can't believe that this
is the only way to do it.
