faq: operator precedence table?

except for a brief and incomplete list in xpath 3.4, i can find no
comprehensive operator precedence table for xpath.

if i had one i could tape it up on the wall next to the ones for
C, java, perl, and javascript.
one of the debits of not using list syntax (of the "<" or "(" variety)
is that such things are necessary....

for example, something that would tell me which of these are the same:
- a|b/c[1]
- (a|b/c)[1]
- (a|b)/c[1]
and so on.

the table is in order from least "tight", to most, with everything on
the same row being left-associative. something like this, except i'm sure
it is all incorrect:
