This stylesheet :
<xsl:stylesheet
version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:template match="doc">
<xsl:element name="card">
<xsl:attribute name="id">First Card</xsl:attribute>
<xsl:attribute name="title"><xsl:value-of
select="//title/text()"/></xsl:attribute>
</xsl:element>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
Given:
> <?xml version = "1.0" ?>
> <doc>
> <title>The title</title>
> </doc>
>
Produces:
<card id="First Card" title="The title"/>
