The InDesign SDK is freely available from
http://partners.adobe.com/asn/developer/sdks.html
The plugin development example cited in the tutorial
uses a strange case: all text is put into absolutely
positioned blocks (sic!). I'm afraid this implies
no support for complex pagination in the API ;-).
I wish I am wrong.
