[XSL-LIST Mailing List Archive Home] [By Thread] [By Date] [Recent Entries] [Reply To This Message] TEI XSL stylesheets, and PassiveTeX
I have updated my Web pages for
a) PassiveTeX, at http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/passivetex/
This is a system, using LaTeX, for formatting XSL Formatting
Objects. It's still raw, but if used with a gentle hand can produce
real results. http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/passivetex/teiu5.pdf is an
example, showing how Acrobat bookmarks can be automatically
generated to match the document structure. I admit that this meant
a custom element, eg
<fotex:bookmark
xmlns:fotex="http://www.tug.org/fotex"
fotex-bookmark-level="1"
fotex-bookmark-label="N53">
Some text
</fotex:bookmark>
waiting for such a facility to be added to XSL FO
b) TEI XSL FO stylesheets at http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/tei/
This is a library of stylesheets for the Text Encoding Initiative
Lite DTD. It is is still being developed, but is capable of
formatting real documents; see
http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/tei/pope1.pdf and
http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/tei/pope2.pdf for some ideas on
interpreting the <lb> and <pb> elements. There is a customization
layer in the stylesheets (allowing you, for instance, to turn on
or off section numbering), but it is at present undocumented.
I will be working on a closely-linked set of HTML/CSS stuff
shortly. Any or all ideas and contributions welcome!
