Aren't we getting just a little too bookish here?  Are we taking any
significant readability away by using the word 'variable'?  Could we use
'xsl:param' or 'xsl:value' instead?  Will 'invariable' satisfy both parties?

BTW, a big thanks to James and rest of the XSLWG/IG for giving us XSLT.
