Leigh, My 5 cents advice: Just integrate XQuery into XForms entirely. Any other alternative is nuts in my opinion. I remember when XML Schema spent YEARS deciding for constraints on a subset of Xpath, that is so called "streamable". I don't think ANYBODY involved in that discussion had ANY clue about how to execute Xpath/XQuery and/or subsets of them, in streaming fashion. This, of course, didn't stop them talking about it (, and standardizing it, in top of that, which is the worst). So, my 6 cents advice to XForms: beware of "subsetting" XML processing. Especially for "good" cause (whatever that means). In general: don't do it. My 7 cents, best regards Dana > > Besides the Mozilla Firefox XForms XPI implementation, there are a > number of implementations of XForms in JavaScript (Ubiquity XForms, > AgenceXML XSLTForms, FormFaces) which could call your XQuery > implementation directly. > > [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-forms/2010Jul/0021.html > [2] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-forms/2010Jul/0022.html > > Leigh. > > > > _______________________________________________ > http://x-query.com/mailman/listinfo/talk > http://x-query.com/mailman/listinfo/talk
