Perhaps an EXPath library similar in concept to eXist's geospatial
XQuery module would be a nice idea. We already provide some 44 generic
geospatial specific functions.

Unfortunately you need to enable the spatial module in eXist to see
all of the geospatial XQuery functions available, and this is not
enabled on the eXist demo website. However, if someone wants a
comprehensive list, I would be happy to provide it...
