Emacs flymake syntax checking for XQL

Thanks for pointing out the error in my ways.
I've updated the two pastie.org snippets http://pastie.org/837869 and http://pastie.org/837838 to use XQuery instead of XQL.

I assume you mean for XQuery?

XQL was a different query language entirely, one of the inputs to the design of XQuery.
