Omission in near() when used in mixed content

Someone else will respond to the question, but I have a small
suggestion: in this case near() is not a standard XQuery function but an
eXist extension function, and it will be helpful to readers of this list
to give an indication at the start of a message that you are talking
about a particular dialect of XQuery and not general XQuery 1.0.
Otherwise you may confuse people who think there is some function
fn:near() that they don't know about.
