Saxon-specific questions are best asked on the saxon-help mailing list or forum (find them via the saxon project on sourceforge.net). I can't reproduce this problem from the information given. How are you running the query? Michael Kay http://www.saxonica.com/ _____ From: http://x-query.com/mailman/listinfo/talk [mailto:http://x-query.com/mailman/listinfo/talk] On Behalf Of Kevin Grover Sent: 15 January 2009 05:15 To: http://x-query.com/mailman/listinfo/talk Subject: Saxon 9.1.0.5 command ignoring method=text ? I'm using declare namespace saxon = "http://saxon.sf.net/"; declare option saxon:output "method=text"; and I'm still getting the xml declaration. I also tried adding declare option saxon:output "omit-xml-declaration=yes"; and no joy. However, adding '!method=text' to the command line works. I did some googling and notices that this occured between 8.4 and 8.5, but 'was going to be fixed soon'. What am I missing?
