I'm not quite sure I'd agree with this. In my mind, the correspondence is: XML RDBMS -------------------- ------------------- XQJ JDBC XQuery SQL XML database or file Relational database In other words, XQJ is a way to connect to an XQuery implementation (e.g. Saxon), execute XQuery statements, and get back query results. -- Ron Michael Kay wrote: > XQJ is to Saxon as SQL is to relational databases.
