RE: Solid -- a fascinating new technology from Tim Berners-Lee

It’s a NodeJS app, thereby making it an oxymoron.

Subject: Solid -- a fascinating new technology from Tim Berners-Lee

Hi Folks,

Tim Berners-Lee has started a new technology called Solid (https://solid.mit.edu/). It’s basic tenet is that my data should be owned/controlled by me, instead of Facebook, Google, etc. An excerpt from the web site:

Users should have the freedom to choose where their data resides and who is allowed to access it. By decoupling content from the application itself, users are now able to do so.

Has anyone explored Solid?

/Roger
