So ISBN is in every XML namespace. This one for example <ISBN xmlns="data:,costello@mitre.org"/> > Is this correct terminology: > > {http://www.books.org}ISBN is_bound_ to "978-0-9844425-0-8" > If you're making up terminology anyway it's hard to say if it is correct or incorrect. It's correct if you say it is. In this case it's non standard terminology and unlikely to be understood unless accompanied by a definition. In your example, if you want to talk about the underlying data it would be more normal to say: the ISBN of the book is 978-0-9844425-0-8 or if you want to talk about the XML it would be more normal to say: the content of the element is 978-0-9844425-0-8 David ________________________________________________________________________ The Numerical Algorithms Group Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 1249803.
