Yes, it should be modified - but in my experience it's very hard to sort out Wikipedia articles like this. You can only do it with the help of definitive references. The article starts well by adopting a definition from a paper by J W Lloyd, but then it adds all sorts of stuff (like domain-specific languages) that's outside Lloyd's definition, with no cited references to justify their inclusion. The best way forward is to be brutal and delete such content, but you may find that it's reinstated by people who are fond of their own pet theories.
