Uh, right.

Of the couple hundred or more referenced above, many are nothing more
than marketing decoys, many are now defunct, many were never more than a
scratchpad...

Several hundred others [thousands] are not referenced in the list at all (though
they may be referenced elsewhere in the web site).

I think Andy Updegrove estimated that there are about 1000 SSOs/SDOs,
and maybe over a million [IT] "standards," and then, there are hundreds of
projects that create XML vocabularies for work-a-day specifications
that will never be reckoned as meriting standardization.  Most
specifications I see these days have DTD/XSD/RelaxNG/Schematron (etc)
schemas -- including many that don't need them for any discernable
purpose.

I hope that explains why I stopped cataloging at some point... I forget
when.
