Out of interest - what is the standard approach for displaying some XML that contains a real mix Unicode characters? I remember working for one place where they didn't want to / couldn't pay the licensing for Arial Unicode MS and I had to mark up non Arial characters to use a different font. I hope that's not a dumb question... I remember thinking at the time it was a poor "solution".
