I have to agree that adding verbs by extension is RESTful, as long as
the method of extension is well defined, I believe there was some
arguments on WebDAV being Restful or not, the not being not that verbs
were extended but that in some cases they were extended to do things
that should be more properly done by the other verbs operating on a
specific resource? But I don't remember on what grounds the argument
was made. As for why I didn't think of WebDAV it's been years since
I've looked at any of it, and I simply didn't think of it. That said
not sure how many conformant WebDAV implementations there are out
there? I was under the impression that most implementations only did
parts of the spec? Excuse the ignorance but it's really the forgotten
protocol for me.
