Program Overview
**********************************************************
OASIS is a highly distributed organization, with members all over the globe
and committees meeting independently in practically every time zone on
Earth. Once a year, we bring together the leaders of our international
community to compare notes, review current developments, make connections,
and explore open standards as solutions for eBusiness and eGovernment.
Vendors and users, regulators and legislators, developers and consultants,
researchers and analysts all contribute to the dialogue that shapes how
enterprises and governments conduct trade, manage assets and interact with
constituents. The Symposium program features two tracks with content
specially targeted for management and technical attendees, as well as
several interactive panel discussions. All presentations are geared to
assess and preview what emerging technologies and standards are likely to
shape the future of eBusiness, eGovernment and the rapidly emerging world of
smart, networked semantic information. In-depth sessions include the
following topics:
*  eB Doc Standards
*  Data Layer
*  Identity Management
*  Business Document and Content
*  SOA in the Large
*  eGov Strategies
*  Crash-only Web Services
*  Challenges Ahead
*  Standards as Solutions
*  Leveraging SOA
*  eGov Application Domains

Other Program Highlights Include:

*  OASIS Committee Lightning Rounds; Table-top Exhibits; Birds-of-a-Feather;
and the Symposium Book Table -- for all attendees

* Special Briefing: "Introduction to the OASIS Open Standards Process" --
