That's what SGML said about XML. Kettle is black. What serves no purpose is to say it is XML 1.0 or 1.1, that is, to use the public MIME type or header for XML 1.0 or 1.1 in combination with the tool. That confuses people and the Internet. OTW, using a subset of XML isn't a problem.
