It is the grade in American schools when we are taught the inferior mysteries of The Craft, basically the secret handshakes and some of the less esoteric interpretations of the carvings on the outer walls of the abbey of the holy order. Since so few of us are admitted to Cambridge, we seldom learn the real truth and since so few others get into Oxford, even a smaller group get the joke.
