Way to go, Media Machines! <opinion targetCommunity="softies" > Ok Thralls ... here is a way to stay alive in the Microsoft ecology! There are others but this is excellent Active-X. Thar be jewels, harrr! Microsoft: just as OpenDoc is supported, support this! VRML/X3D earned their place in your space. When a community has this proven ability to survive, it merits access to distribution as long as the open source meets the QOS numbers and the IP warranties. One can argue continuously for why one form or implementation of graphics is better or worse, a winner or a loser. One cannot argue that scene graph technology as a basic representation of real time 3D doesn't work well for a given user demographic. It grows in the wild. It is a cultivation project after that. </opinion> XMLers: please forgive the cross posting. This is big for X3D! len From Tony Parisi, Media Machines: > I would like to share some important news - Media Machines has decided > to put Flux into open source under the LGPL, effective today.
