Nope, you can't have those on an attribute group, and if you could I  
guess you'd be setting the occurrences of the group, not of its  
individual members.

I'm fairly certain that it can't be done in XML Schema, at least not  
without a kludge like defining a type per attribute occurrence and  
casting the element with xsi:type — yummy! I left the dark magic door  
open because I never remember what a ·non-absent· {unfinal}  
[attributes] mixed element-only {content [item]} post-schema- 
validation-infoset-contribution used as a distinguished property  
value denoting absence can really do, but I don't think it can be  
done. Something about hitting the 20/80 sweet spot I think :)
