There are several options available for validation, see
http://docbook.org/docs/howto/#validators
We used several tools to check that Schematron rules embedded in RELAX
NG are interoperable (well, this required slight fixes in some tools ;-).
There is also on-line DocBook V5.0 validator
(http://badame.vse.cz/docbookvalidator/). It is based on Relaxed
validator. You can very easily configure it to use arbitrary RELAX NG +
embeded Schematron schema.
