That's news to me.  Details?  Do you mean 
Balmer and Schwartz making nice?

Last I saw, the W3C is demanding more numbers 
and the big vendors save Sun are fighting it 
publically.  The W3DC embraced it because Sun 
stepped up to do the right thing technically 
and financially (a binary is a must have in 
graphics).
