You're definitely in good company here... after looking at your site its seems you are right in line with the interests of the group which, while many will work on Linux or Mac for their own set up and a lot are indeed Java developers I doubt there are two many who work for organizations or with clients that don't have a single install of Windows and therefore are working with it, if not on it, on a regular basis... That doesn't mean you shouldn't be involved with the MS sponsored/run groups as well... obviously such groups will be much more saturated with Windows developers and users. But you will miss out on gaining input from users running diverse platforms and XML technologies which I believe to be the greatest strength of xml-dev.
