Hi everyone,
This is to announce the first release of XmlVoyager.

XmlVoyager combines the flexibility of spreadsheets with the
hierarchical layout of XML to provide a new approach for viewing,
annotating, visualizing, and transforming XML documents.

Screen shots, examples, and a free download at:

XmlVoyager presents XML documents in a hierarchical spreadsheet format
where each column contains a static or a dynamic property. Dynamic
properties are similar to spreadsheet expressions, but written in XPath. For
example, a dynamic property, "TooManyChildNodes", can be created to mark all
nodes with more than 20 child nodes with an 'X'. Or, a dynamic property,
"ChildNodesTotal", can be created on selected nodes to automatically
calculate the sum of the values of all child nodes.

XmlVoyager is especially useful when working with publicly standardized
XML formats such as those created by vertical standards groups like UBL and
OAGIS. Columns can be added to identify which nodes are populated by the XML
creator and which ones are required or optional by the XML consumer (see
example in the download). And, additional columns can be used to provide
comments or describe business rules that govern the use of each node.
XmlVoyager makes it easy to customize the view to show only relevant data as
needed.

Under the hood, XmlVoyager uses XRules to store properties, and is built
on top of the Dynamic DOM engine which provides the XRules parsing, editing,
attachment to XML, and evaluation and tracking of dynamic properties. It
shows the value of XRules Properties as a flexible way of annotating XML
documents with both: static values and dynamic expressions.

XmlVoyager is a work in progress. All comments, questions, and requests
for new features are welcome.

Best regards,
Waleed
