RE: Something altogether different?

BTW: There are some papers on the topics of using
cyberworld visualization for large datasets at

An Improvement for Accessing Patterns through Clustering in Interactive VRML
Environments

Shao-Shin Hung, Ting-Chia Kuo, Damon Shing-Min Liu, National Chung Cheng
University, Taiwan

Since the walkthrough system may contain large-scale VRML models, the
massive objects are always stored and scattered in the storage units of the
walkthrough system. But this situation will increase the search time and
reduce the system performance. However, this problem is never considered in
the traditional walkthrough system. In this paper, we present an efficient
clustering method to improve the efficiency of accessing objects. Meanwhile,
the clustering methodology is particularly appropriate for the exploration
of interrelationships among objects to reduce the access time. In other
words, we introduce the relationships among transactions, views and objects.
Based on these relationships, the clustering algorithm will determine how to
cluster these objects efficiently. Besides, we suggest two clustering
criteria - intra-pattern similarity table and inter-pattern frequency table.
Our experimental evaluation on the walkthrough data set shows that our
algorithm doesn't only significantly cut down the access time, but also
enhance the performance of our system.

pp. 182-187 Adaptive Documents Classification System Based on Ontology
Constructed by Fuzzy Function and Fuzzy Relations

Ju-in Youn, He-Jue Eun, Cheol-Jung Yoo, Yong-Sung Kim

Documents based on web have been increased very rapidly according to
development of web technology and the documents are very various in document
structure and data type.
Therefore, many intelligent information systems have applied document
categorization method and semantic relation, which they developed to offer
fit documents for the user. But Information system in present is unable to
offer fit information for personal interesting because of the lack of
related knowledge which it specify relationship between concepts based on
document content. Also there are unable to interpret the content of
information resources due to the lack of knowledge. Therefore, in this paper
we want to express hierarchical structure in according to concept degree of
different structure and data type of document on web using ontology method,
which it is a specification of a conceptualization. Also we propose an
algorithm to classify into the same cluster connected documents of similar
meaning and reorganization use to fuzzy function and relation

Geometric Querying of Time-Dependent Data for Data Mining in Molecular
Dynamics

Olga Sourina, Nikolay Korolev, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Temporal Databases and Data Warehouses are essential components of
intelligent information systems in Cyberworlds. This paper describes a
geometric model for querying time-dependent data in databases and
warehouses. An implementation and application of the model for querying of
results of numerical simulation in Molecular Dynamics is discussed. Data are
interpreted geometrically as multidimensional points with time dimension. A
geometric query is a query solid of any shape specified by its parameters,
location and time. These queries are formulated with geometric objects and
operations over them to form the query solid. The geometric objects and
operations are described with implicit functions. With the uniform geometric
model for querying time-dependent data, 3D visualization tools can be
naturally incorporated into the molecular dynamics visualization system to
pose the queries
