smallest valid xml
As the first (and possibly last) in a series, I present this week's XML
Puzzler.

We'll start out easy.

a. What is the size of the smallest valid XML entity?
b. well-formed?
c. 1.1 valid?
d. 1.1 well-formed?

If you challenge the assumptions inherent in these questions, can you
get to an even smaller number of bytes?

Discuss.
