Which is too bad. I spend a lot of time reading Web sites about products in the XML / database arena and I invariably know that I'm in for a long, hard time of it when the Web site tells me what a product does but not what it is. By the way, one shortcoming of XML 1.0 in this respect is that there is not an attribute equivalent to the term "element type". (One can't use "attribute type", since that refers to things like ID, IDREF, and NMTOKEN.) -- Ron
