Shoot away.  I deal with realities.   XML is helpful 
wherever the information is referentially complete 
and snap-shot robust.  The hard problem is the medium. 

How well an archival technology works is directly 
related to the model of the information from which 
it was extracted and the lifecycle robustness of 
the medium to which it is stored.  XML Doesn't Care.
