RE: Re: Software to generate all valid XML instances from a XM

steve betten
lots of advice to be had on testing in general
on Boris Beizer's comp.software.testing FAQ:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/software-eng/testing-faq/

the seminal book of testing is without doubt
"The Art of Software Testing" by Glenford J. Myers:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0471043281/ref=sr_aps_books_1_3/202
-1227592-8332621

the word "Art" is important here, since like Hifi,
you can spend as much money as you like on testing
and still never be 'done'

a XML schema

Thanks for the link, Bob.

More generally, how do you all write test data for your XML-using
applications? I don't have too much experience with writing test data; my
intuitions are to test boundary cases (both valid and invalid) and some
arbitrary non-boundary cases. Is there a book or online resource I can
reference on this? Thanks.

Steve
