web based xml editor
Hi,

Have you heard of XForms? (http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/)

It is a W3C rec that sets out how to bind arbitrary XML instances to Web
forms. At the moment you need either a plugin, or server side transform to
be able to use XForms on the web. I should take a look before you go any
further with your project, you might find it useful.

All the best

Mark Seaborne
