RE: Word 2003 schemas available

word 2003 to latex

I had a "good" :) ?? question, which I felt suited as there is a lot of
document folks in this list.

What is advantage of XML format for Word? - i guess space for storing,
sending. For example, a "hello world" document requires 19+ kB in word.

When I see this, I see it more like XML as a non-compiled version, and
compilation taking place transparently..

even then, what is the big difference as opposed to latex/tex which we are
all used to?? Is Microsoft Office going to redo the latex approach "more
correctly"??

also, I think lot of people are familar with security loopholes in XML
using processing instructions etc... what kind of security loop holes need
to be fixed?? It would help me if I get some example processing
instructions that we need to be careful of..

what are your opinions on these??

best, murali.
