Well, from the www.allette.com.au site, " Open Publish 2004 Details for Open Publish 2004 have been announced. The conference will be held on July 28-30 2004 at the All Seasons Premier Menzies Hotel, Sydney. [...] " Lots of XML; lots of PDF; lots of document publishing stories. The Australian Open Publish conference, I believe, was formerly the XML/SGML Asia-Pacific conference, formerly SGML Asia-Pacific, running since ?1993?. There's also a US "Open Publish" conference series, http://www.open-publish.com/, but there's no details yet about a 2004 event; looks less XML-ly. You've also just missed the OASIS Open Standards 2003 conference which was in Sydney in October. If you're going to include more academic conferences like the WWW conference, there's also a lot of others for which XML is very much on the agenda: VLDB, SIGMOD/PODS, SIGIR, ... Michael
