Socrates placed "Argumentum ad homonym" as the least persuasive argument. Not liking a new technology because of where it was authored is a lot like that. If new ideas are arrogance then,.... well never mind. There is a lot of innovation and good logic on this list, and at times a touch of arrogance. I can accept arrogance as the price of innovation. Poor logic, on the other hand belongs on talk radio. Greg Alvord -----Original Message----- From: Simon St.Laurent [mailto:simonstl@s...] Sent: Tuesday, November 04, 2003 1:34 PM To: xml-dev@l... The only risk they're taking with XAML is a backlash against their arrogance in discarding things that are already out there, but not owned by them. I suppose that's a genuine risk, but not something they're likely to lose sleep over. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The xml-dev list is sponsored by XML.org <http://www.xml.org>, an initiative of OASIS <http://www.oasis-open.org> The list archives are at http://lists.xml.org/archives/xml-dev/ To subscribe or unsubscribe from this list use the subscription manager: <http://lists.xml.org/ob/adm.pl>
