Andrew has every right to post his opinions here. So do you, Daniel. Try to resist the urge to tell people to shut up when their opinions don't match yours. One would think you are a candidate for the governor of California. Innovation is competitive. Microsoft earned a monopoly by providing production tools in accordance with the common skills of the customers. That scares people who compete by raising armies or true believers to free Jerusalem from the infidels rather than improving their products to make their customers more productive. Ease matters to the middle manager. Crusades don't. len From: Daniel Veillard [mailto:veillard@r...] So take your frustration where it belongs, i.e. to the projects in question and stop your ranting about it here in a totally vague way, it's not useful, and doesn't make you look any greater. If you're really concerned about the way an open-source project does things, and want a better alternative, fork it off, make it your way and try to see if there are followers, you might be sucessful or not, at least you would put your acts in synch with what you say and act accordingly to the principles upon which open-source software works.
