Michael Wilson scripsit: > This is probably a simple stupid question, so here goes. Is there a standardized definition for the characterics of an address in xml? Actually it's a deep and complex issue. Internationally speaking, addresses are so varied that you probably can't say much more than element address { element line {text}+, element country {text} } and expect it to work. There is nothing more annoying than a form which makes postal codes mandatory, for example, even when you specify a country in which they aren't used, or aren't universally used. The X.500 standard for online directories says that a postal address can't have more than 6 lines, and does not treat the country name specially. -- With techies, I've generally found John Cowan If your arguments lose the first round http://www.reutershealth.com Make it rhyme, make it scan http://www.ccil.org/~cowan Then you generally can jcowan@r...
