Thanks Joseph. That makes for interesting reading. I have to wonder after the last fifteen years of discussing concepts such as these, how many and what kinds of businesses will sign up and use these technologies. As neat an idea as it seems to be on the surface, I don't always recognize the human layers of business, particularly optimizing by negotiation and all that entails, in the concepts. And without the ability to make a deal from a bet on a golf course, I don't know how well it will work. There is more to business than exchanging documents and the dry contracts that must be signed before services are engaged. It will be interesting to see who uses standards for this, and who decides based on their experiences with CRM systems and the like, to roll their own or to forgo these systems altogether. Again, I've seen many a neat markup language just lay there because the content owners weren't interested. It will be even more interesting to look at the personalities of those who make these choices. len -----Original Message----- From: Chiusano Joseph [mailto:chiusano_joseph@b...] As many know, there has been discussion for several years on UDDI and ebXML Registry, how they may relate, and what the future may hold for both initiatives. Attached please find Booz Allen Hamilton's position paper regarding UDDI and ebXML Registry. It is titled "UDDI and ebXML Registry: A Co-Existence Paradigm". I am the author.
