No more fiddly than more widely used ones, as I recall ;)

To be honest, the lexical stuff around attributes could go in a 
future version of XML without the (my) sky falling in - dual quote 
styles and unordered attributes, we could be shot of those right? 
Ignorable whitespace is another matter tho'.
