Joseph, thanks for the information, most helpful of you. I've not looked at (3) yet, but in the case of (1) and (2) similarity is certainly the case, on an almost point-by-point basis. My interest in WS-ReliableMessaging is merely for compatibility reasons, I want to know that I can transform on the fly a message compliant with reliable-messaging-specification X into something that our clients messaging platform can deal with. The specification ((2)) is rather simplistic, for one thing it doesn't have a processing model. It covers message sequences in more detail than WS-Reliability, which i think has something to do with the message size limitations of MS message queues. For WS-Reliability, compatibility is easily accomplished with a simple XSL transform of message headers from one format to the other - providing of course that processing assumptions turn out to be the same! /m Martin Klang http://www.o-xml.org - the object-oriented XML programming language
